WOW – I can’t believe this was built within a single HTML page!  — http://www.tiddlywiki.com/

I’ve seen quite a bit of technology in my 25+ years of IT. This is so simple and yet brilliant.

A Blog is a method of capturing one’s thoughts and sharing them on the web for all to see and comment upon. There are many packages out there to help accomplish this feat…The one I’m using is open source

A Wiki is a piece of server software that allows users to freely create and edit Web page content using any Web browser. Collaboration at its best.

The internet has made it simple to share your thoughts around the world in just a single post. If that’s not enough Open Source Content management solutions are available to support a broader range of requirements. (Joomla is what I use)

TiddlyWiki is just plain cool.

The design of this product is quite unique – It is a single web page that through the use of scripting and style sheets allows you to edit and save your information right into the page itself – No web server required! (of course browsers have matured and now support DHTML, AJAX etc. making this possible)

While not strictly designed as a portable application TiddlyWiki works very nicely in that manner.

I’ve been using it to track my personal ToDo Lists, Status Reports and Daily Journals. This may not be the authors original intent but what the heck…
